Oltremani Italia was born from the desire of associations and individuals to give more strength to local initiatives that promote active citizenship, participatory relationships and the defence of human rights.
Each association affiliated with Oltremani Italia keeps its own autonomy. By joining, it becomes part of a network of relationships between associations based on the circulation and sharing of experiences, practices and approaches to others, which distance themselves from charitable and paternalistic logics.
We believe that each of us, in the spaces where we live, is a wave that generates change.
That is why we promote the widest possible participation, giving associations and individuals the chance
to join the Oltremani network in different ways.
Volunteers who promote Oltremani’s principles and values in their own city through awareness, organising activities, public events and more.

We create spaces for meeting and participation, build authentic bonds and promote family-based hospitality experiences. We do this because we support a human narrative of migration, one that stops talking about “emergencies” and “invasion” and is grounded instead in dignity and closeness.
At present, Oltremani brings together associations based in Alessandria, Ascoli Piceno, Catania, Genoa, Naples, Pesaro Urbino, Ragusa and Varese and activists and volunteers in Aosta, Chiusi, Fossano, Messina, Siena, Turin, Trieste e Venice.
